The original seat of Ambaji mata is on Gabbar hilltop in the town. Gabbar is in fact One of the Fifty One (51) famous Ancient Pauranik Shakti Piths - The Centre of Cosmic Power and it is the original holy place of Mata Ambaji, where the piece of the heart of the dead body of Devi Sati fell at the top of this holy hill of Gabbar as per the legend narrated in the "Tantra Chudamani" . It is also the site of Krishna's tonsorial ceremony (ritual head-shaving), and the abode of the divine Mahishasur-Mardini. On the flat top of the hill there is a small niche facing the temple of Ambaji, in which a well-protected lamp is kept constantly burning, and can be seen from the main Ambaji temple at night. There are footprints of the Goddess under a pipal tree, which are worshipped. There are 1000 steps to climb the hill and reach the temple that rests there. Ropeway on the mountain of Gabbar has been installed, so that more and more pilgrims can visit and enjoy the beauty and holiness of Gabbar with ease and joy. Watching the sunset from the hill top is an experience in itself.

Majestic Spiritual Haven - Ambaji Hill Temple The Ambaji Hill Temple in Gujarat is an enchanting destination that embodies the essence of spirituality and serenity. Nestled amidst the scenic Aravalli Range, this temple offers a breathtaking experience that truly touches the soul. During my recent visit, I was captivated by the divine aura and the magnificent architecture of this sacred place. Upon reaching the temple, I was greeted by a sense of tranquility and devotion that instantly put me at ease. The temple complex is immaculately maintained, with beautifully sculpted pillars and intricate carvings that reflect the rich cultural heritage of Gujarat. The attention to detail in the design is awe-inspiring and adds to the overall grandeur of the temple. The main sanctum, dedicated to Goddess Amba, exudes an aura of divinity. The idol of the goddess is adorned with vibrant garments and jewelry, radiating an ethereal beauty that evokes a sense of reverence. The melodious chants and the fragrance of incense create an atmosphere that is truly spiritually uplifting. One of the highlights of my visit was the breathtaking view from the hilltop. As I climbed the steps to reach the summit, I was rewarded with a panoramic vista of the surrounding landscape. The verdant valleys and the distant mountains painted a picturesque scene, making it a perfect spot for meditation and introspection. The temple complex also offers various amenities for the convenience of visitors. Clean washrooms, ample parking space, and well-maintained pathways enhance the overall experience. The temple authorities have done a commendable job in ensuring a smooth visit for devotees and tourists alike. Furthermore, the temple surroundings are adorned with small shops selling devotional items, handicrafts, and local snacks. It's a delight to explore these stalls, immersing oneself in the vibrant culture and flavors of Gujarat. I wholeheartedly recommend Ambaji Hill Temple to anyone seeking a profound spiritual experience and a glimpse into the cultural heritage of Gujarat. It is a testament to the beauty of faith and the significance of this sacred land.

Beloved to be Original Shiren on the Gabbar hill abot 3 & half km away from Village Ambaji . Gandola ride is also available with Rs. 125 for going up & coming down. 51 Shakti pithas replicas can be visited while climbing steps which are very steep but one must do about 750 steps are there. Shiren sits on the top of the hill a small temple & are overlooking Ambaji Temple which is visible and surroundings. A day trip can cover both Ambaji Temple ( Which is one of the Shakti Pitahs in India ).
